Bugatti Veyron W16  

Placement of the W16

Bugatti Veyron is one of the most exotic car ever made. It is powered by 8.0L W16 engine supplied by Volkswagen. Volkswagen had a W12 engine which is based on the VR6 engine which was used in Golf and Passat vehicles. The 8.0L W16 engine has 4 turbo chargers. Each turbo feeds air into 4 of the 16 cylinders. Each cylinder is mated with 4 valves. The engine weights 882 lbs (400 kg). It is rated at 1000 hp at 6000 rpm, with 920 lb-ft torque at 2200-5500 rpm.
